Roleystone Teeball and Baseball needs you!

While teeballers and baseballers have hung up their bats for the winter, Roleystone Teeball and Baseball Club's new committee has already begun planning and preparing for the 2010-11 season.

However, the committee is lacking some members after a disappointing number of nominations at the March AGM.

In particular, there are vacancies for: President, Teeball Delegate, Umpire Coordinator, Grants Officer, Canteen Manager, Website Manager, First Aid Officer and Teeball States Representative.

New Vice President Jodie Hansen urged parents of under-8 and under-6 teeballers to nominate for a position.

"The younger kids are the future of the Roleystone Teeball and Baseball Club and the reality is, unless people come forward to take up a role, the club will go backwards," Mrs Hansen said.

"Many hands make light work, as the saying goes, and while we are delighted to have some new faces on the committee, we need more to continue the excellent work of the previous committee.”

"It would be a disaster if the club wasn't able to provide children with the local teeball and baseball opportunities they deserve because parents weren't able to find a few hours to volunteer or assist.”

"We would be thrilled to welcome any teeball parent onto the committee - previous experience not required."

Please contact Jodie Hansen on 0407 277 669 for more details.

Roleystone Teeball and Baseball Club also sincerely thanks committee members who have recently stepped down after years of service.

Special acknowledgement goes to Jason Newland - an enthusiastic and dedicated former President - along with Craig and Ann Meldrum, John and Annette McDonnell, Tracy Howell, Fiona Newland, Darryn Groves, Lana Reilly, John and Jo Batley, Wendy van der Laan, Danny and Julie Nass, Jeremy Griffiths, Gary Arnell, Wendy Mays, Amanda McRae-Lea and Kellie Roennfeldt.

Tracy Howell (Treasurer), Darryn Groves (Grounds Coordinator), Lana Reilly (Trophy Coordinator), Jason Newland (Baseball Delegate) and Amanda McRae-Lea (Coaches Coordinator) have kindly stayed on for another year - thank you all.
