Members of the Roleystone Teeball and Baseball Club are fortunate to have the backing of outstanding sponsors and community supporters as we enter the 2010-11 season.
Along with our major sponsor, Roleystone Real Estate, we have a number of local businesses assisting our teams, including new u-13 Warriors sponsor Hansen Environmental Services and new u-8 Cruisers sponsor Cap Sante Oceania Pty Ltd.
The club would also like to acknowledge a number of valuable contributions that have enabled the installation of our new back net at Springdale Park.
This semi-permanent structure – it is taken down for the winter football season – means our coaches no longer have to drag the portable net on and off the field for training and game days.
The back net project is a big one and it would not have come together without the help of John and Anna McSweeney from Creative Driveways & Fencing and Kim Harris from Harris Architectural Drafting Services.
The City of Armadale also assisted by installing the net at no cost.
Thanks to all these fantastic supporters of Roleystone Teeball and Baseball Club.
We would love to offset the cost of the net ($2400) with some $500 sponsorships, which would give your business a double-sided sign on one of the net panels over three seasons. Contact Jason Newland on (0411) 654 119 for more information.
By now our 11 teeball teams in u-8s, 9s, 11s and 13s and two baseball teams (Little League and under-15s) are well underway, with games officially starting on Saturday October 9.

Club Try-out Day
An important date for the calendar is Sunday October 24. This is the club try-out day for the teeball State Championships. A second try-out day may be scheduled for the following Sunday.
All kids wishing to take their game to another level are welcome to participate in the October 24 try-outs. Parents, please bear in mind the extra commitments that go with State Championship selection - an extra cost of $60, an added training night, some Sunday carnivals and the State Championships themselves over the March long weekend in 2011.

While teeballers and baseballers have hung up their bats for the winter, Roleystone Teeball and Baseball Club's new committee has already begun planning and preparing for the 2010-11 season.
However, the committee is lacking some members after a disappointing number of nominations at the March AGM.
In particular, there are vacancies for: President, Teeball Delegate, Umpire Coordinator, Grants Officer, Canteen Manager, Website Manager, First Aid Officer and Teeball States Representative.
New Vice President Jodie Hansen urged parents of under-8 and under-6 teeballers to nominate for a position.
"The younger kids are the future of the Roleystone Teeball and Baseball Club and the reality is, unless people come forward to take up a role, the club will go backwards," Mrs Hansen said.
"Many hands make light work, as the saying goes, and while we are delighted to have some new faces on the committee, we need more to continue the excellent work of the previous committee.”
"It would be a disaster if the club wasn't able to provide children with the local teeball and baseball opportunities they deserve because parents weren't able to find a few hours to volunteer or assist.”
"We would be thrilled to welcome any teeball parent onto the committee - previous experience not required."
Please contact Jodie Hansen on 0407 277 669 for more details.
